Coding began in October 2007, but a fair chunk of the initial coding and design was based on some earlier efforts in a similar area.

watchmelater.com was created initially as something I wanted to use myself. From this I realised there are probably many people who have the same needs, hence the site was born.

Development has started on a custom toolbar for IE that would provide similar functionality to what is available for firefox users. Unfortunately IE extensions are much harder to maintain, and support so this will probably not be released until some Angel funding is secured.

The firefox extension should work for firefox 1.5.x, 2.x and 3.x. If you have any issues with the extension please leave feedback.

There are a number of ways to do this.

• Right click the icon in the status bar and select "Preferences..."
• From the tools menu select "watchmelater" then "Preferences"
• Select "Tools" then "Addons", select the "Watch Me Later" extension and click the "Preferences" button

If you browse to iphone.watchmelater.com you will get a site that has been optimized for the iPhone. Note: The iPhone version currently only supports videos from YouTube.com.

If you browse to wii.watchmelater.com you will get a site that has been optimized for opera on the wii. The page sizes have been adjusted to suite the smaller resolution and the wiimote can be used to control playback. The wii mote functions currently supported when on the video details page are:

• Click Right on the Dpad to move to the next video in your list
• Click Left on the Dpad to move to the previous video.
